There is a creek with a bridge near our house that we call Snake Park. All summer long Jake begs to go to Snake Park. When he goes there he usually catches 5 to 10 snakes (small ones - thank goodness) to bring home. Often times, his hand looks like Medusa's head full of slithering snakes. We have started to call Jake the snake catcher. He lives for catching snakes. Because Mom's always make the rules, my rules entail: 1) no snakes in the house; 2) they must be let go within a few days and not in our yard (for obvious reasons); and 3) anyone who handles a snake must wash their hands afterward.
