Nathan's BIG Adventure

We took Nathan to Disneyland early February.  It was his very own trip.  Okay...Rowan did have to tag along because his food source was going.  Nathan enjoyed most of the rides, although he ended up being afraid of quite a few.  Being with a 3 year-old, I realized just how scarey Disneyland can be.  After going on the scarey Snow White ride (the 2nd ride of the trip) Nathan began to ask is it scarey? before going on any other rides.  We went to see the Bug's Life 3D movie and within minutes of the show starting, Nathan was in tears.  Before we thought it couldn't get any worse 20 HUGE spiders fell from the ceiling.  Nathan just lost it...all that he had.  We all quickly darted for the door.  He did love the Bug's Life rides, however.  Nathan's favorite ride was the new Toy Story 3D ride.  It had a dart gun for him to shoot targets.  Daddy really liked it too.  The thing Nathan wanted most was a book with a pen.  You know?  All the annoying kids who go ask Mickey for his authograph?  The kids who take FOREVER to meet with Mickey because of their book and pen?  Well, that's what Nathan wanted and he was determined to get it.  His tactic?  Asking for it every 5 seconds.  I want a book with a pen, I want a book with a pen.  We did finally give in and bought him a cheap one at a convenient store by our hotel.  I don't even know where it is now that we're home.  But for the moment, Nathan loved it!  After our two day trip, we asked Nathan what his favorite part was.  His response, "the hotel."  So now we know...a fun trip for Nathan can entail going down the street to a local hotel for the night.  It's going to kill and save us lots of money.
